The Arcade Fire

The Arcade Fire "Funeral" = best album of the year

fav track: Neighborhood #4 (7 Kettles)

fav line: "Time keeps creeping, through the neighboorhood"

Wilco's "A Ghost is Born" = 2nd best album of the year

fav track: Theologians

thoughts: with occasional interruptions by The Shins "New Slang" and Kanye Wests's "The New Workout Plan", The Arcade Fire's "Funeral" has blown my mind for the last 2 days. Its like, symphonic pop or something, with a bazillion nauances layers and sounds and instruments. Every song makes me wish I could fly.

fav line: "...they don't know nothin' about my soul."

I got my copy of Funeral two days ago. I, too, have listened to hardly anything else since.

I picked up the Kill Bill soundtrack today, and it's really nice.

Wilco: Everything from Handshake Drugs on is my favorite part of the album right now. I feel like there some distinct Beatles overtones in this album, far more than the previous ones (if the previous ones had it at all, I never noticed it). It's really cool.

Thanks for the recommendation...I had been browsing iTunes for something to take into the weekend and decided to go with Arcade Fire. Great sound, but will take some time to digest.
