Go Bowling With People

My oh my am I busy. Jeffrey split for vacation for the next 2 weeks, so I'm flying solo here at work for the first time, so my phone, quite literally, will not stop ringing. In fact, in the time it took me to write these first three lines I've gotten 4 phone calls. Somehow before the end of the day I've gotta crank out four proposals. Really, all I wa...dang, another phone call. That's it, we're getting a secretary/administrative assistant. Also, today is Ben Weavers first day at Coptix. He's our "intern that we wish could work full time." I like to call him "Developer Lite". We're still looking for competent programmers/developers. You have to be at least 60% as good as this guy with the potential after a couple years of hitting 80%. Yes, Ben is my standard. He is the man. If I could clone him, maybe three times over, there'd be nothing we couldn't do.

My Powerbook setup is now complete. I've gotten my iCurve stand, my bluetooth keyboard/mouse, and I just received my sweet Incase nylon briefcase. Its a briefcase, so its good to go for meetings, but its also nylon and hip with a shoulder strap etc., 'cause, you know, I've gotta be hip. Can't sell out to the man.

Also want to let some of you know that there IS poker tonight, at 7. Call me for the location, unless you're the Po-Po. If you are, you need to look into this guy. Rumor has it he's a real risk-taker; something about growing an entire crop of marijuana in his parents backyard. Kinda crazy if you ask me. 2 to 7 years in Chino crazy!

Also, for those Louisiana people out there, still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Nolablogs & Monroeblogs, you can go checkout Nolablogs The Work In Progress. Should be done by the end of the day. Which means tomorrow I'll be moving alot of friends off Chattablogs to their new home.

In other Terrablogs news, Seattleblogs is cranking along (again, many props to Matt Dunmore). Got three bloggers there now! I know there are some other Seattle folks still hanging around out there, so please, e-mail me or leave a comment and we'll get you setup a little closer to home.

And I'm always, always looking for designers out there who'd be interested in doing a site. I've got like, half a dozen folks wanting a NYCblogs. I've got nycityblogs.com Just need the design. Hmm, maybe a collaborative thing between Us and These Guys. Hmmm...
