This Saturday is Battleball. Words can't really describe what its like to take the field err gym floor with a mob of 50 of your freak & geek friends, done up in your superhero best, ready to win the only intramural tourney you have a shot at. Why Battleball? Because Catacombs can consistently field a team of 50 hall-mates and cat-alumni (matriarchs and partriarchs).
Anyways, I'm still waiting to hear back on whether or not they're going to attempt again this year to rip the soul out of a beautiful tradition by charging alumni $50 bucks to play or by putting a team cap of 25 persons. I'll let y'all know. I'm thinking a Saturday evening of Battleball & Poker.
Joshua Daniels has the best radio program I've ever heard. Its a shame 88.1 is getting inundate with repetative NPR news junk, because his show is like a blistering nightime showcase of great music over and over again. My head hurts by the end of it. I swear though, I'll never listen to 88.1 again if they add another block of Fresh Air. Gosh Terry Gross is gross. Faux-intellectualism anyone?
