Paul Hamm Wins Gold?
Last night April & I went to bed at 11:30 having watched Paul Hamm fall into the judges table in his vaulting event. We figured it was over. I wake up this morning to him having pulled the most incredible of comebacks, having won Gold. Insane. Makes me mad I missed it!

I had heard ahead of time that he won, but as I was watching it, I thought I must have heard wrong. I was so surprsed he won, but he deserved it.

I had heard he won while I was driving home from work, so I mostly watched it to see how in the world he could possibly have pulled it off after falling into the scorers table. It was pretty sweet because his last two events were about as close to perfect as you could get without actually being perfect. The shocked look on his face when his coach told him he had won was one of those great sports reaction shots.

The best was espn showed it before it was aired so the whole time i knew he was going to win and the aunouncers were all, "He can't recover... its all over" HAHAHAHA IT WASNT"!!

I saw his fall, and my mom was watching, too. Then when he won gold I was amazed, and she said, "That can't be the same guy" but it was!
