There's a great interview with Jeff Tweedy over at Paste Magazine. Anyways, I wish I could figure out what it is about Paste Magzine that kinda bugs me. Mebbe its the fact that they're Jennifer Daniel's label, and in my mind she's all that is tired, cliche, and derivative in folk music today (not to be harsh). Example:
"what kind of rage is this?
That throws itself out against the window pain?
what kindof rage is this
that keeps me guessing?"
I mean geez...
Maybe its Paste's slogan: "Signs of Life in Music & Culture" Anyways, it just all reeks to high-heaven of the faux-culture loving that's more into earth-tones & mandolins (not that there's anything wrong with either) than art that really speaks to the human condition.
whew, and I even had a good day, why am I so pissy?

I played basketball at Covenant with Jennifer Daniels' brother, Reed. That guy was one crazy mother.

josiah, i didn't mean to not reply to your question about "the unbearable lightness of being" (although a little leading i suppose) i'm curious what other people think of the book, espcially those a little more well read than I am. so, have you or mesh read it? let me know.

I prefer Johny Cash's autobiography, "Cash" by Johnny Cash.
