Summer Mix CD (For April)

evidence of my superior musical taste is well document elsewhere, superior, not only its in high-brow sensibilities, but its insatiable desire for a demanding hook. I, like Jeff Tweedy, find ABBA compelling.

Here's a recent summer mix I put together for April. It's got some points I don't feel too comfortable with, but dang, the thing coulda been a "6 CD summer music extravaganza", and of course, they had to be songs I thought April would like.

1. Friday I'm In Love - The Cure
2. Float On - Modest Mouse
3. Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis
4. Piece of My Heat - Janis Joplin
5. High on a Mountain - Loretta Lynn
6. Forever & Ever, Amen - Randy Travis
7. Down the Line - Johnny Cash
8. Hotel Yorba - The White Stripes
9. No Depression - Uncle Tupelo
10. Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand
11. Theologians - Wilco
12. Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl - Borken Social Scene
13. Melt With You - Modern English
14. Just Like Honey - Jesus & Mary Chain
15. Where Is My Mind? The Pixies
16. New Slang - The Shins
17. New York, New York - Ryan Adams
18. Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins
19. Paradise City - Guns n' Roses
20. Ring The Bells - James
