Attention Ye Louisiana Bloggers

I know I talked about this awhile ago, well, a dang long time ago, but it looks like we're finally gonna get monroeblogs.com and nolablogs.org off the ground...hopefully. Finally found a brutha who's gonna hook us up with a design (and seattleblogs is coming along too, one guy gets to pick first pretty much)

ANYWAYS, so know there's a crew of you out there who've been with chattablogs and some of the other sites for awhile now (or haven't been on chattablogs and have been waiting) who wanted to dun get moved over to monroeblogs or nolablogs. So, please, by all means, leave a comment and let me know so I can start getting things prepped.

I'm pretty excited 'bout monroeblogs, just 'cause I really really like the smaller down blogging sites, like chattablogs. Alas, it means bidding farewell to some of my favorites like Christin & Josh(the newlywed) & Shannon, BUT, they'll only be an extra click away!

oh...and I wonder if dear old j.amos will finally make the move...hmmm....

Aww... I'll miss my nice comfy spot here at chattablogs, but since pioneers are so cool, I'll sign on to either one. I'm geographically closer to N.O., but have many ties to Monroe, too. Hook me up wherever.

Count me in on monroeblogs.
Can you make it where it will automatically redirect for a while once my web address changes?

Will you allow Lafayette bloggers at Monroe or NOLA? Silly question, probably....

Very tempting. I'll probably have to make the move.

Here's a comment I posted on Shannon's blog in response to James' comment/question about South Louisiana bloggers who don't live in New Orleans (and his idea, "SOLA"):

James, that's a good question. I've been wondering along the same lines, but I can't think of a good URL. SOLA might work; I just wish there were a generic way to refer to Louisiana as a whole. Louisianablogs is too long (besides, most people can't spell "Louisiana") and I'm not sure lablogs works. Not only is lablogs.com taken, but most people see/hear "LA" as "Los Angeles." That said, lablogs.org seems to be available, as does lablogs.us. Personally, I kinda like .us domains for blogs for two reasons: [1] we're in the U.S., and [2] blogs are most of all about *us* - our lives, thoughts, questions, opinions, etc.
