Flotsam & Jetsam XN

whew, its been a hefty blogging day, here are some random things I wanted to get out there for you all:

1. It'd be really really really nice if any of the folks who read this blog out there who are graphic designers might be willing to lend some of their time to help design new terrablogging websites. The development of terrablogs is very much something at the mercy of the gratis of a select group of individuals, so any and all help would be much appreciated. We don't make any money, but we'll plug your stuff and portfolio all you want. So, if you're interested in mebbe designing a few blogging sites (like chattablogs, atlblogs, etc.) please just leave a comment and we'll chat.

2. Don't go to American Alternator, Starter, and Battery over on Rossville Boulevard. They told me they were installing a "new" starter in our truck and installed a refurbed one instead. Then it broke two weeks later, and then they wouldn't give me a refund. Which makes sense given the warranty, but they were real jerks and did work without my approval. So, avoid them, hit up Blakney Auto or Market Street Tire instead.

3. My father-in-law, Ken Counts made Commander (O-5) today. He'll now be, well, commanding other chaplains in the military, upping his responsibility and ministry opportunities. I'm excited to hear where his next station will be. Here is two links (1 and 2) that I found 'bout him off google.

4. April started her new job as a Vet Tech at Middle Valley Animal Hospital yesterday. She'll be starting school at Purdue (distance learning) for her Vet Tech license in the fall. She's happy, though she's having to get up at 5:30 every morning, which is wierd. Well, not every morning, her shifts can be odd sometimes.

5. (from gosey) an interesting article from FactCheck.com on the lack of actual consensus among the 9/11 Commission members on whether or not there actually was a connection between Sadaam and Al-Qaida.

thanks for that posting Josiah, it (through a tangent link) helped me learn a bit about Trippy's dad.
