UTC Vice Chancellor Bob Lyons == Smooth Operator
In a recent article on The Chattanoogan, UTC Vice Chancellor professed ignorance concerning listener frustration over station format/programming changes and a lack of knowledge concerning said changes, he states: "I am baffled about where that is coming from."
Well, Bob, you're either playing stupid (which is another really bad thing to do with your already frustrated listeners) or horribly un-attentive to the happenings of your university radio station.
The removal of Prairie Home Companion, the american music hour, and the increase in NPR IS programming and format changes for your radio station. Mary Anne leaving and the somewhat uncertain status of other DJ's indicates an even deeper problem that needs to be addressed and rectified. If there's smoke there's fire.
Rumor has it there's a really comprehensive piece coming out in today's Pulse on the whole issue. I look forward to reading it.
