1 Year Ago Today

Today April & I celebrate our first wedding anniversary. My new blog background is a shot from Casa Grande Del Rio, where we had our reception. As a little gift to you, I've got this picture here where some of you might see yourself in the background while April & I are getting buckets of birdseed dumped on us, and I do mean buckets, literally. I swear, I had birdseed in my hair our whole honeymoon.

I think I can honestly say my wedding day was the most fun I've ever had, thanks in massive part to the insane amount of effort and love from all my friends and family.

I suppose I should have some profound words, or just words to sum up the last year. I don't really, other than its gone by ridiculously fast, and given just how much I've learned about myself and my wife we're both downright certain the only way we've made it this far is by the grace and love of our Savior.

So, to all you crazy people getting married this summer, you're going to have a great time and marriage has some whopping highs and some stunning lows, but the only way you'll survive either ('cause both have their dangers) is by resting together in Jesus.

OK, that's it. Man, this time of year really gets me all emotional and sappy.
