Endings & Beginnings
Friday night I went to a pre-new website release party at Tubatomic. I'd heard of tubatomic years ago pre-dot-com fallout with their little brilliant "Jonni Nitro" project. It was always wierd, yet great to me, that one of the best design teams in the world were right here in Chattanooga, and recently cooler because they're right here in St. Elmo.
So Mat Turner who's been doing a good bit of design work for Coptix has been doing some part time work at the Tub and I swung by there earlier this week and met Aaron & Alex, who are two exceptionally cool guys and I'm looking forward to hopefully working with them once they get back from the World Design Conference in France or whatever. Ya, they're incredible.
Today was also Covenant's graduation, which always puts me in a sentimental reflective mood. I think I get why Covenant alum, for the most part, have such an attachment to Covenant and why some of the recent changes with the new administration worries me so. Covenant has been and has sold itself as a community; its like this weird little family where a buncho folks can show up and finally have the gang they've always wanted. I know I reading my experience into the whole thing, but I think mebbe I'm not alone.

THe thing with covenant is its a family, but we all think we no whats best for the family. And when people do things that don't seem best for the family we want them out of the family. Its kind of like a mafia, don't worry i'm not going to take out any hits.... yet
