She's Our Van Lear Rose

I think I've had a crush on Loretta Lynn for a dozen years. I've been meaning to mention I picked up her latest album, Van Lear Rose, a couple days ago off iTunes. Jack White of the White Stripes produced the album and even appears on a track or two.

The album is nothing short of amazing, incredible, stunning, and well, pretty much comprises every reason why I listen to music. You'll rock, cry, and wonder if there is such a thing as extra-biblical revelation, just, you know, in musical form.

I just moved to Memphis. On the way driving here, I passed Lorreta Lynn's Dude Ranch. It is a major attraction between Nashville to Memphis.

NPR did a feature on Loretta/Jack/Van Lear Rose that I heard on the way home last night. What I heard sounded great. Loretta is a goddess.
