I know I'm gonna get it for this, not the topic, but the source: here's a cool article from USA Today (its the only newspaper in the coffee shop I occasionally frequent after I drop April off at Cigna) on Bourbon & Kentucky. I've been on a real bourbon kick lately, loving my country n' whatnot.

If a. you think your wife doesn't need to go to church with you because hey, your the first stop in her spiritual existence so, well, she can do all that via you as proxy and b. you come up with super-cool phrases like "patriarchalists" to characterize your ingenius new 'ology you're going to get beatup by this guy, because you deserve to be. In fact, that guy is gonna beat up Nick on principle, not because he's done anything wrong, but just in case.

...like when my dad would give me a beating when I woke up in the morning, not becuase I had done anything wrong, yet. It was simply a practical necessity: there simply was no way for him with work and responsibilities to beat me enough.
