El Scorcho
I'm gonna go right out there and say that Weezer's song "El Scorcho" is right up there in pop-genius sing-along awesomeness with The Beatles "Hey Jude" & "Yellow Submarine."
Now, I'm by no means saying Weezer is anywhere even close to the greatness of The Beatles, it's just that song. Well, sing it loud. Really loud.

I absolutely *love* that song and Weezer. Been a fan since '94. My friends and I have made many a good memory to "Pinkerton" in the past, too. As you may know, Rivers Cuomo basically has disowned that record and hates it for some reason. It was a commercial disappointment when it was released in '96, but I have always loved it and thought that it was brilliant. By the way, "The Good Life" runs a close second to "El Scorcho".

Yes, that song is AWESOME. I love Weezer and I love that song. It took me a long to like it (I hated it to pieces for a while) but now I recognize its awesome-ness. ^_^
Too bad Rivers disowned it. ¬_¬
"The Good Life" is good too but it's nowhere in the same league as "El Scorcho." It's just a different kind of song.
The lyrics to "El Scorcho" are great.
