Dawn of the Dead
Many moons ago while living on Catacombs a one Mr. C. Todd Willison came back to the hall with a movie called "Dawn of the Dead." He forced Matt & I to sit and watch it. Todd went to bed half-way through, while Matt & I, so entranced with the central premise of waking up one morning to face an army of undead & barracading youself in mall to survive, that we stayed up and watched the whole dang extended version of the film.
Cause, you know, I loathe the undead.
Anyways, here's the trailer for the new remake of the film. It makes me very, very happy.
I should also note that the sequels to the original Dawn of the Dead films ("Night of the Living Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead part 2" respectively) marked my first introduction to the Undead when I was a child of about 6. My dad and I watched the first Night of the Living Dead movie in my Great Grandfather Quintus' house in Willow Grove, PA way back when. It was a good night.
Thus began my life as a warrior against the undead.

Ha! This post received one of the few smiles I've sported today. Normally I like this kind of day but this one feels terminally depressing. I'm happy I married a man who will fight the undead, crickets and muppets for me since I'm still afraid of the dark at 29. Seen Army of Darkness? Good stuff.
