PULSE
Today the first issue of Pulse came out and, in my opinion, it was quality. It's the best thing you're gonna find in terms of a weekly mag in Chattanooga, then again, it's not like the competition is all that stiff. The Enigma is a joke. The "Chattanooga Scene" is put out by Memphis carpetbaggers, and most of the local "monthly" magazines are just excuses for local advertising firms to kick down more publicity for their clients.
But regardless, I think Bill has laid some good solid groundwork for a good publication with Pulse. The content is quality; everything is competently written and insightful. Julian's piece on being a Canadian at a gun-show was downright hilarious.
My biggest kudos though has to go to Bill for it's appearance. It was respectfully designed and laid out, and in my opinion that's the make or break point for a sucessful magazine (like I know all that much). Sure you can have good content, but if it looks like crap, who's gonna read it?

Hey Josiah, do you know where I could get a copy of Julians article, either in print or online?

Much props should be dropped on Eric Jackson for making the paper look so snazzy...
