My Dog's a Crack Head
I think my dog, when we let him out, runs off down the street to the well-known crack house on the corner of 55th & Shauff. Seriously.
He spends far too much time on his back rolling around like a dang fool. Plus he's engaged in an ongoing war with his leash. Periodically during the day he'll flip out and start attacking it. Doesn't make any sense.
Further, for the life of me, I can't get him to get the idea of fetching. I'll stand there and bounce the ball and throw it and he just looks at me and cocks his head. Makes me feel like an idiot, like "hey, retard, you wouldn't run after a stupid ball would you, why should I?"
He also enjoys smacking things with his paws too much. Walk by him, and he'll just smack you with his paw. Like right now, he's smacking Mesh.
I just dont' get animals. April firmly believes they're more than really complex machines, but I think the evidence is inconclusive. The ideas of conditioning and programmed response seems to me to be just a buncha massive if & switch statements, and their "alive" factor being a big for loop.
Of course, I have the same suspcions about babies, but they grow out of it, mebbe. I'm off to lunch.

Josiah, that's what dogs do. They're just very lovable spazz machines.

and while i'm at it i need to slap my own wrist for misuse of "you're", in addition to misspelling my own name...
