I've Got Andy's Computer
Gosh, I get home and boy was my inbox packed. I'm still catching up. Slept in to nearly 10 2day, wife slept in till past 11. I swear, she could sleept for 20 hours straight if she wanted to. Regardless of what time I went to sleep, I start to panic if I'm still in bed after 9. I just get this sense like I'm wasting the day, and that there's a buncha stuff going on that I'm missing.
Andy wanted me to point out that he's blogging again, and that he promises to be more consistent about it in the future. Beyond merely the fact he's a friend and I'm more than willing to try to drum up traffic for anyone, he's also got some great pictures of Walnut Creek Stables where April works. These photos are for the new website I'm designing/programming for them.
Like the title says, I've got Andy's laptop. I don't think I'm gonna give it back. I love having a laptop. I'm gonna get a wireless card for it and start working from various hotspots around town. If ye more geek minded out there have suggestions for a good wireless card to get, do leave your recommendation.
Well, I'm off to lunch with Andy, Lang, & G-Money at MoJo Burrito to talk software design.

get either the latest SMC wireless card or one of the Dell TrueMobile cards. I recently spent an entire afternoon installing wireless cards and those two are the easiest. They have pretty good transmission range too.

On my mac - it comes with the airport card which is by far the coolest - it automatically picks up a wirless hot spot without you having to do any configuring.
On my PC laptop I have draytek card - which is really cool - it links into my router on my desktop PC that has aDSL modem built into the router. I love being wireless - it rocks. there are not any places where I live that are hotspots - but when I go to Jackson there are. It is so cool to be free of the wires!!

I haven't found any great difference in ease of setup in the few different brands I've configured. I like the D-Link cards because the antenna is flat. The fat antenna on the linksys cards can block the other slot. Of course, I never have anything in the other slot anyway, but still - I have the freedom to if I needed it.
