Motherland
Not a great deal to report today. Rumor has it things are dang hot in Europe this summer, and something like 100 Parisians have died of heat stroke.
Supposedly Slate thinks Ahnuld will be a horrible governor because his biggest business venture, Planet Hollywood, was a complete bomb. I think Daniel Gross (the article's author) forgets that Planet Hollywood didn't fail because of bad business practices, but because the idea itself, of a Hollywood themed restaurant, is really stupid, regardless of whether or not its shamelessly narcissistic. Now, one might assert, that the idea of California is stupid, but that's for you and Ben to decide.
I've been listening to one song today, over and over again as I am occasionally prone to do. It's "Motherland" by Natalie Merchant. I'm just in one of those moods.
I've taken the time though to occasionally toss in a Daniel Lanois song. He's quite good. Do check out External Monologue for more info.
I also just wanna sneak this out, to get rumors going. Coming soon: a New Saint Andrews blogging portal, and yes, brought to you by Covenant grads.

I don't think that "the idea of California is stupid." You have to remember that I think that California is capable of producing some wonderful things. My wife is from California. In fact she is from San Francisco, the cradle of all crack-pots. I just think that per capita California produces more wackos than any other state in the union. I mean, just take Josiah as a case study.

PH was not Ahnuld's biggest business venture-- far from it. He is- I believe- a pretty well respected businessman/alien killer/ kindergarten teacher. He owns several jets that he leases to some asian airline, as well as some pretty expensive commercial property throughout the country.
All this aside, I could never vote for someone whose speech I can't understand. Listening to his speeches would be like being in a Krabbendam class.

Did Dr. K ever save the future?
