When Will We Fall Down?

Is a great song by Toad the Wet Sprocket. A very underrated band, imho, but will the hipsters correct me?

I leave to pickup April in 93 minutes. Countin' down...

Do check out this incredible site by New York photographer Rion Nakaya. He's one talented cat, and has an impressive library of photo's, from a OC little league game to Houston, Texas Subway Mosaics.

But selfishly, my favorite collection he has is of Quincy California, which is an old tiny town way high up in the Sierra Valley, very near to where I'm from in California. He's also got some great pics of the Frank Loyd Wright house they built in Quincy a year or two ago.

I've been telling people since I came to Chattanooga that California is the most ridiculously beautiful state in the US (I've yet to make it to Alaska), and hopefully some of those photos will help you understand why I love it out there so much. The photos were taken in winter, which is my favorite time of year in Cali.

Quincy also holds a bit of sentimental spot for me 'cause when some rough things went down with the fam I flew back home and we all drove up and stayed in Quincy for a week to try to hash some stuff out. It was some thick thick stuff.

Thanks, I got it from Rion. Hopefully she'll let me keep it. I e-mailed her for permission.

Yeah, the background rocks.

Can I read _How To Be Good_ when you're finished with it? Nick is cool.

Great pic in the background, and yeah, Toad is cool.

Amazing pics. I especially love the one at the intersection of Court and Main, and the mountain shots. I need to visit a snowy mountain town this winter.

Josiah,

You need to make it up to Alaska (there may be a few of us going next summer) because it really is the most beautiful state and the coolest place that I have ever been in my little travels. Alaska will blow your mind.

i used to think Toad the Wet Sprockets' songs tend to be repetitive except for some jewels like "When Will We Fall Down."
but of course i am not a hispter, am just a listener. btw, i haven't thanked you, josiah. thanks for giving me a web shelter.
