Errata X6
Not a whole lot going on right now. April is in Tupelo Mississippi visiting her friends. She's there till Tuesday. I miss her alot. I've been seeing movies with Mesh to kill the time. I've seen Terminator 3 and Bad Boys 2, and last night I watched Almost Famous on DVD.
T-3 was bareable. Nowhere near as good as T-2, but entertaining nonetheless, with a funny homage to Planet of the Apes at the end.
Bad Boys 2 was morally vacuous. I felt dirty after seeing the movie. Oh, it was intense, exciting, and funny in parts, but there was no distinction between the good-guys and the bad-guys, there was no moral tension, the character were paper thin, and innocents were implicitly killed left and right. Now, odds are, when you watch the film, you'll notice none of this, given that its just constant, instantaneous gratification with a rapid rotation between funny line, explosion, gun fight, funny line, explosion, gun fight. So odds are you wont even realized you've just absorbed Satan for 2 1/2 hours. Ya, I sound puritanical. But my new line for moral justification is "it's ok, the people who make cocaine live here" (at which point you destroy their villiage killing hudreds). Also, dead naked chick humor is not funny, just disturbing.
I got the new Harry Potter book today. I'm gonna be reading that for the next 20 or so hours straight. I'll have more on it when I'm done.
In beautiful news, my dear buddy Holton now has a blog, and it's aptly titled "The Holtonian." Do please check it out. His first post was wonderful.

really, josiah, what did you expect from michael bay and jerry bruckheimer of pearl harbor and armageddon fame? bruckheimer has had a hand in every cheap thrill/satan absorption film since the first bad boys film came out. not to say that he hasnt been involved with some decent films, however.
