My New Favorite Person
My new job at the stable has been a source of great things - experience, challenges, fulfillment. And now, the latest edition to this list of great things - Air Conditioning.
I was just chatting with my boss about how hot it was, etc and mentioned that we didn't have AC. He walked back to his junk room and there amid saddles, microwaves, and buckets of neatsfoot oil was an AC unit he gave me.
I don't know how Josiah and I have been sleeping before we put that in our bedroom. The temperature difference between the bedroom and the rest of the house is pretty unholy! But, we are exceptionally grateful for our one cool room.
Needless to say, Bob is my "new favorite person."

April, I run the risk of sounding like... "When I was a kid we had to walk 20 miles to go to school" ...with this next comment. My family lived at my grandmother's house in Homestead, south south Florida..... just before the Florida Keys. She installed an air conditioning unit in her home that cooled her bedroom, the living room and kitchen/dining area. Our bedrooms were not part of the mix. We had just the opposite situation. You're cheating.
