Irresponsible Sideblog

I've added a SideBlog to my blog. You can see it immediately to the right of this post. I'm very proud of it. There you'll see links and whatnot that I don't feel warrant a full blog post, but are still interesting/funny nonetheless.

If you'd like a sideblog it means setting up a second blog for you, but it's doable. If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail...

So... How does the sideblog work exactly? What does it do, exactly?

Posted by: ron at July 14, 2003 02:47 PM

Also, how exactly do I stop saying exactly, exactly?

Posted by: ron at July 14, 2003 02:51 PM

your blog is looking sweet! it's so dang organized...

Basically, the sideblog works like a blog within a blog. I actually have a second weblog. Then I've got a little perl script that I call from my blog which lets me pretend in my index template that I'm actually IN my sideblog. I can use all the same tags and organize the info just like a I want it. I could have entire posts in there if I wanted to, but I just put the "excerpts" which is why you can link to the actual post.

Anyways, anybody can have one on Chattablogs, since the sideblog plugin is global for all blogs on Chattablogs. So let me know if you want one.

Shannon. Ya, I'm happy with it. I'm not sure I like the color scheme just yet...I'll find something I like eventually, when I get more time.

I still want a cool logo though. I need to stick the blue man back in there, though I'm hoping that Patrick from A Peck of Gold will hook me up...

I know he said he was gonna write you about it- I'm sure he'll do something cool for ya!

You know what I like about the sideblog is that instead of having a blog entry that says "read this. it's so funny." and "this" is linked, it forces you to identify what "this" is.
