Weekend Past
Some cool stuff happened this weekend.
First off, Me, Andy, Mesh, and Pastor Bob all went kayaking on Lake Chickamauga. It was awesome. I haven't enjoyed exercise that much since battleball, and hopefully this is something I'll get to do regularly since I need to shed about 20 stones. Andy's got some great pics of the trip over on his blog. All of this was training for our big trip down the Tennessee River Gorge in 2 weeks.
Secondly, April and I became members of Cornerstone on Sunday. We had completely forgotten about it until we showed up. I hadn't even shaved so I felt all scruffy. Ben & Andy proceeded to make me feel really weird by reciting to me every little movement I made when I was up front. I can't believe I'm OPC now.
Thirdly and finally, most of y'all know about April's job at Qdoba's which she, to put it lightly, utterly despises. I think her exact word's were "$80,000 and 4 years of education and I make damn burritos." Anyways, she got a call today from the owner of a horse farm, and they want April to be some kinda manager or something like that, which she would absolutely love since she grew up doing drassage and all sorts of weird horse stuff I don't understand. She's out there right now meeting with the guy. I think she'll be much more content and satisfied at this job. Happy April = Happy Josiah.
