My Birthday...
...is today. I'm 24. I'm now in my mid-twenties. I'm starting to feel old, like, I can't get away with acting like a goofball anymore because I'm less and less "young."
Tonight I think we're all gonna get together and go to the Bessie Smith Strut down on MLK boulevard. Then arfterwards, probably sometime around 9, we're gonna head to Durty Nelly's for some drinks.
If you're looking to get me a present. Right now cash would be good, but DVD's, 12 packs of diet coke, and cartons of Camel Lights are always safe-bets.

Happy Birthday :) When I was in high school, I always looked forward to being 24 and 25. They were, in my mind, the ideal ages... I would be grown up enough to have my life together, have a bit of cash, and be doing all sorts of fun stuff. I'm turning 24 in January... my life is pretty together, except for the whole college and career track -- and therefore the "bit of cash" part, but I'll hit my four year anniversary and I'll have a two month old baby. Pretty different than what I must have been imagining in high school, but I couldn't ask for anything better. God is good.

I recently turned 24, too. I think 24 is the line between kid and adult...adult by day, kid by night.
