New Reformed College on the West Coast

I remember Nick and I talking about the idea of this four years ago. Looks like somebody finally went ahead and did it.

Dr. Fennema from Covenant College is helping advise them, which is cool. I'd really be interesting in knowing their vision for the college.

Of course, if all these people just sent their kids to Covenant, it would accomplish the same thing they're trying to do on the west coast. Maybe the just see something important in the geographic location. I do like the idea of their Pacific Rim/Asian Culture Studies emphasis.

It says Robert Nisbet is on the board there. Anyone know if this is the same Nisbet that wrote _Quest for Community_?

Nope. The Robert Nisbet of "Quest for Community" fame died in '96 when he was 83. I'm actually using some of his work as a source for my Senior Thesis. One work in particular called "Still Questing," which was published in The Intercollegiate Review, is really good stuff.
