First, they were going after the whole mess with the apparently vague status of President-elect Obama's birth citizenship. While that case may have at least enough merit to look into, I doubt anything would ever come of it.
Then, when the whole deal with the Governor of Illinios came out and the RNC witch-hunters were doing what they could to create a link between him and Obama, I was glad to see John McCain step up and tell them to cut it out. At least SOMEONE is trying to cut down on the pettiness that has become so rampant in politics.
Now Obama has apparently displeased EVERYONE by selecting Rick Warren to pray at his inauguration. Apparently, this angers the gays because Pastor Warren is not tolerant of their lifestyle; it offends the conservative base because they think Pastor Warren should not lower himself to the level of praying for such a liberal, gay-loving, abortion-encouraging, jaywalking, littering, SMOKER! How dare he?!?!
Seriously, folks... I didn't vote for him, but I heartily admire and endorse any and all efforts to get people to work together and just GET ALONG.
