Nope, nothing at all.
The Packers are 0-3. This is not their year. Perhaps Favre will retire.
Next week, I will continue to discuss the Packers and their current season.
Be good.
I just noticed it's been a long, long time since my last post. Here's the update...
Took a trip to Connecticut in July. Took a train to NYC and spent 9 hours in Manhattan. I can definitely see why people love it there. Everybody there had an iPod. I want one too, but will settle for a Rio Carbon. My Birthday is in less than 2 months. Hoping...
School started in August and it's been good so far. Good kids, good classes... but I'm very busy. I'm a junior class sponsor, which means I have to throw a prom in April. We're raising funds in a variety of ways, including Coke (or Pepsi) wagons at Wal-Mart. We have one this Saturday & Sunday. Come on out, buy a hotdog or BBQ sandwich, and help us out.
On August 19, we had a positive pregnancy test and were very, very excited to have conceived the old fashioned way.
Unfortunately, on the day after Labor Day we went to our first ultrasound and found out it was a molar pregnancy, a 1 in 1000 phenomenon wherein there is a placenta with no embryo attached. My wife underwent a D&C to get it all out of her uterus and now we have to wait like 6 months before we can try again.
So, it was about 2 weeks of extreme glee, followed by one week of extreme disappointment, followed by who knows how many months of residual stress. Oh well.
On a good note, the Vanderbilt Commodores are currently undefeated at 3-0, 2-0 in the SEC. As the only team in the SEC East who has won 2 conference games, they are now officially all alone atop the SEC East. I know this will probably change this weekend, but I'm enjoying it while I can. Man, I love college football.
I'm also my school's senior project coordinator, which is a huge undertaking. It's a cool endeavor, but takes up a lot of my time and may be over my head.
I promise to try to update more frequently.
Peace up, a town down. I'm not sure which town, though. Just a town. Possibly Ringgold.
