Comments: arts for life

G'day Kelly,
This sounds like a great idea for you, given your artisitic background. I know a mid-40s lady who, while in a mental health recovery unit, was encouraged to participate in an adult occupational/art program. She hasn't looked back and now does some lovely work. It really opened her up and gave her a new sense of her self and what God has made her to be. So, maybe there is also another avenue for you, which isn't so make-believe. You could also help people express themselves in writing about their life and experiences, which is an excellent way to get reconnected with reality and develop self esteem. Great opportunites to share the faith, too.

I have very much enjoyed and valued reading your blog. It seems you and I have some things in common like our appreciation for the experiencing of the natural realm and the desire for the genuine presence our loving Lord and others.

I send you greetings in our Kings Name, from Australia.

Great blog. I worked as a Chaplain at a major city hospital/trauma center in SF,CA this summer. It was wonderful work. There is so much to offer folks, especially as an artist etc.

Best wishes,
Rick
