I really do love painting

Today I decided to paint. It's great fun even if paint gets in your hair and on your contact lenses. Gratification is practically instant (it's CHANGE, it's CLEAN) since I don't really follow the rules. Yeah, I wiped down the walls. And I move the roller in that W way they show you on the home improvement shows. But I didn't keep a wet edge today.

Today I loved painting UNTIL I REALIZED THAT SOMEONE HAS BORROWED THE POLE FOR MY ROLLER AND NOT RETURNED IT. Which means that my reach is limited. "I'm limited, just look at me, I'm limited--and just look at you, you can do all I couldn't do, Glinda...so now it's up to you."

I didn't keep a wet edge because I got tired of going up and down the ladder.

And I didn't catch every spider web, but I'm gonna try to conceal all those little imperfections from Monique when it's time for her to do her job.

Also, that perfect blue I fell in love with four and a half years ago....uh, it's gonna require at least TWO COATS of white. Hm.

Hi Mike, I love painting too!!!! I painted one wall of my room. It's a beautiful stormy blue. I agree it's gives so much satisfaction.

...aaaaaaaand we're unemployed. So why can't two unemployed people manage to be free at the same time during the free cell phone minute zone? I'm going to stalk you this weekend... thanks for calling back, even though you missed me.

Glad you're painting. I mean, the activity itself it totally therapeutic, and the fumes only add to the effect.

Hi Mike,
Don't know if you remember me, from Seattle. I just thought I would say hi, hope you are well. I'm living in NY now. Part of a new church. All my best- Cathy

Hiya Mike! Thanks so much for sending your little message via the Covenant Alums site--it is great to hear from you. And I am flattered that you would like to look at my Coupland work; I wish you were hear now to do some proofreading! BTW, when I have more time (it's 1:21 a.m. now) I will write and tell you about my experience of meeting and hanging out with DC. It's a sordid tale that involves my getting kicked out of a pub called the Dirty Duck! I like your BLOG and plan to become a frequent visitor--it's cool to get back in touch.
cheers,
Mary
