I loved reading Roald Dahl's books as a child and even today. I think the BFG was the first of his works that we read; it was when Mom was working as the librarian, and she brought the book home for us to read. (We laughed about the whizzpoppers for at least a week and perhaps even spent some time trying to catch dreams.) From there, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, The Twits, James and the Giant Peach, and Danny, the Champion of the World were just a step away . . . .
