I went to Seattle over the weekend, and it didn't rain. I hadn't realized how beautiful the city is in the sun. It reminded me of Italy with lush green hills laced with clusters of white two-story apartments. I also didn't realize that there are mountains on every side, even to the west, across Puget Sound. And Mt. Rainier is always impressive.
I met with a friend and we ate lunch, discussed business, went to a gathering of friends in the Chinese congregation, and watched a movie. His schedule had changed and it turned out he was going to the SAD on Sunday, so it gave me some free time to enjoy the weather and tool around for a bit. After lunch as I was returning to my car to head home, a couple ragged looking street people asked if I could give them a ride to a place about 10 blocks away, since one of them had hurt her leg. I did, and as the smell of weed filled my car the conversation got interesting. I witnessed a little and left them a tract, but afterwards I kept thinking of much better things I could have said. I guess that's not a situation I'm accustomed to handling.

Are you working with the Chinese? My brother is in this area. (East Hartford, CT)
No. I was visiting Toby, who is working with the Chinese congregation in Seattle.
