Taking Responsibility For Your Destiny
There are those of us who believe that our lives are predestined and that we should resign ourselves to our lots in life. When you take responsibility for fulfilling your destiny and begin acting with the intention of doing so, you not only take fate into your own hands, but also you become the hands of your own fate. Doorways inevitably open for you to step through, and every choice you make can be a creative act toward realizing your goals and dreams. You begin to follow your instincts and intuition, recognize opportunities when they are presented to you, and seize those golden moments. You also begin to recognize the decisions that may not serve this greater picture and can more easily push them aside.
Remembering that the decision to fulfill your destiny is always a choice can be empowering. Knowing you are fulfilling your destiny because you want to, rather than because you have to, can make a huge difference. When you are freed from obligation, obstacles in your way become challenges to be overcome, and the journey becomes an adventure rather than the obligatory steps you are being forced to take. Your destiny may be waiting for you, but whether or not you meet your destiny is up to you. Your fate is in your hands.

a found reading
My unexpected Tarot reading happened when I was cleaning up at a friends house. I found a card that said, The Shattered Moon. It was the only one of its kind, and completely out of place!? I was outside, and found it under growing ivy, dust, and over grown grasses near my friend's driveway.
I looked up what The Moon Tarot card means, so..
The very term "moonlight" is misleading because the Moon does not emit light of its own, it simply reflects the light of the Sun.
...but the first is wild and the second has been domesticated. Both of them are shown howling at the Moon, however, and if a human were present in this scene he would probably be affected somehow too. Regardless of your place in the hierarchy of society or of evolution, you are still susceptible to illusions and deception. The Moon shines the same light down on everyone, though what you see when that light reaches your eyes depends on who you are, not on what you see.

The crayfish shown regularly on Moon cards is a sign of the emerging subconscious and its influence over the conscious mind, and for a mind closed to the messages of its subconscious, there can be a lot of illusion and deceptions to face. blue fingers
Why do I have a hard time believing your are real?
I really question what the heck I'm doing
and whether or not I'm "acting my age"
It kind of freaks me out getting so close for this long
so close for so long. a moment always seems to be more than enough..
much less a day!
but I feel better knowing my friends are there for me.
Today was a good day. This weekend kind of ran together, though. Friday was absolutely relaxing and probably the best friday I've had in a while..that wasn't a proclaimed "party" anyway. I will do anything for parties, as I love entertaining people. Keeping others happy at a get together is something i love doing and really permeates everything that I do.
neways, Saturday was lots of fun!! I woke up with the urge to be in my studio painting, but truly desired not to stay all by myself to work :( So after thinking over it for a few minutes I realized I could surprise one of my friends AND satiate my painting urge. Without permmission, I brought some blue paint (which I now have all over my fingers/hands/self) and painted my friends kitchen!!
I ended up doing a textured mix of light and dark blue, though my original idea involved only a flat dark bright blue on the walls. Over the course of the night I got to see several very close friends of mine.

so here's to trying to take my own advice
and trying to live up to my ideals
Are humans capable of true love?
It seems that if the world were in balance and the only limitation being balance,
that no matter how much you love someone selflessly, that there has to be a part of you that is selfishly in love with them too.
Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself.
This whole endless balance thing being my most current theory..so love would have to have a balance as well.. in this case meaning every emotion has a good and a bad side?
That kind of explains how all the bad guys "in the movies" get confused thinking they're doing something for the good of everyone..when they dont realize the consequences of their actions are to the detriment of their idealism.
So what does this say of living?
Is the monk or cubicle worker trying to move forward amidst is in his ignorance just now realizing he/she is trying to remain still while the world buffets around him? (This coming about through the realization that balance would be perfect and if taken to a physical instead of philosophical plane, perfect balance would be able to remain still wherever you are...
That being said does this make buddha a gymnast? lol)

Does this mean that our spirits are "immovable" in the sense that we do not affect the world but that the world affects us? And in the same token how does our perception affect the world we are affected by..thus meaning we affect ourselves??!
